Ja'fari English High School, A low income private school in Shivaji Nagar, Govandi. It is associated with Teach for India organisation.Some sections of this school are under Teach for India.A great initiative to provide education systematically to students from families that cannot afford education for their children in private or convent schools.
A school where teachers check their students pockets for 'Supari packets', you can just imagine the level of patience the teachers would require to teach them basic discipline and education.But, 'Where there is a Will There is a Way!

So Hats off to 1 of the teachers of Teach for India, Kamya Makhija. A Xavier's Student who chose teaching as her career.Teaching students at Ja'fari is pure adventure if you don not follow the words of CEO.BE Gentle With Yourself, and everything else will fall in place.I met Kamya at a charity event, and asked her if can shoot a story at her school.She readily agreed and here is what i shot! and this is what i learnt -
